By now we all carry great knowledge on the meaning of “contagious”. We are living in what seems like a never ending Covid-related
Drama/thriller/horror movie… we equip ourselves with knowledge on how to not get infected, how to not contaminate or be contaminated and how to not spread this terrible virus. Yet on a daily basis, we do not take into account how contagious our negativity can be…do we not take precautions sufficiently, or are we just making a oblivious choice of being super spreaders of the most deadly virus of all – NEGATIVITY!!!!!!!!
Take this into account – we wear masks to protect not only others but ourselves against the spread of COVID. We wear it over our mouths to protect what goes in and what goes out….. so why cannot we place a deliberate, unseen yet very efficient mask against negativity going out of our mouths and also not allowing any negativity to contaminate us? We speak so freely about how bad this is, how unfair that is, how corrupt our country is, how to not choose that or not do this… place that mask over your mouth dearest friend!!!!!! We have such a great responsibility to protect ourselves from the bad, the ugly the hurtful…but yet we dont protect other by ways of OUR words against the same things that hurt us, and cause immense damage!
Spreading fear, voicing your opinion on why not to take the vaccine, advocating lies based on the information of others that want to spread nothing but negative feelings and fears wrapped up in partial or even no knowledge of truths! I say again – put on your mask!!! You choose to be a super spreader of positivity or negativity…. but be aware of the consequences of each! Positivity leads to hope despite the circumstances, it provides safety despite unrest and it leaves no scars only healing!!! Yet negativity leads to fear, create false circumstances, create the need to judge and create barriers instead of bridges, but above all…it leaves us with profound wounds!
We put our masks on to show respect, to stop the contagious virus…..why can we not put our verbal mask on against the contagious virus of negativity? Be a agent of hope, not an agent of fear. Speak life, speak truth, be the carrier of positive affirmations! We were created to be followers of The Light, The Way, The Truth….to give life through our words! So again I say….dear friend put on your mask against the virus of negativity! Guard your heart, guard your words, be the agent of hope!
